View full detailsBirthday gifts for people who question everything
Giving scientists a present has a catch: they check it. A mug with a wrong formula gets noticed, and so does a poster with a mistake in the periodic table. That is why we make sure these products get the science right, and that is what makes them good birthday gifts. Here you will find the products from our science range that we have marked as birthday gifts, across physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and astronomy.
From the lab into the kitchen and back
Most popular are things that bring the work into everyday life: glass measuring cups with a lab scale, chopping boards with the periodic table, mugs with the caffeine molecule. Add decor for office and desk, such as posters of the solar system or tin signs with lines that could hang in an institute. And shirts that show the field with a wink. If you know the field, search for it; if you do not, pick a design about science in general, there are plenty.
What suits a milestone birthday
For a milestone birthday it can be something that lasts: a lamp, a large poster, a collector’s piece. For an ordinary birthday, the mug that gets used every morning from now on is enough. In both cases the rule holds: the best gift for a scientist is one they could give a lecture about. Our Nerd Lexicon provides the basis for that with many designs.
